I’m a digital communications professional. I work mainly through my own company. I’ll do all sorts of projects involving digital communication, starting from websites.
I’m not actively seeeking a regular job, but interesting opportunities might convince me to think about it. You can also just hire me and my company to re-design your website or to train you how to do it yourself.
Digital communications services for small organizations
I have a Master’s degree in information systems science. The topic of my Bachelor’s final paper was non-verbal communication in text-based Internet chatrooms, and for my Master’s thesis it is the use of many identities in online communities. My minors have included courses on economics and online communication. Project management was one big focus as well. I’ve also studied digital design and community management. For the past few years I’ve also been studying creative writing at the university. My newest degree will be on entrepreneurship.
I spent two years working at IBM Finland doing online communications. Just before that, I edited a comic book. For a year I worked as a Social Media Manager for a small company making mobile apps. I have also done random project work, mainly with webpages as a content producer and a coder.
Volunteering in several disability organisations has also been a good experience. Currently I’m the Vice Chairperson at Heta-liitto, member of the board at Hengityslaitepotilaat ry, and vice member of the Council on Disability in Helsinki.
I have employed personal assistants since 2000, and since 2001 there has been always at least 5 people working for me at a time. I do everything from the hiring process to training and general bossing around.
